CareerPlug Pricing: What They Publish, and What They Don't
Last updated August 29, 2026 · Part of our hiring software pricing series
CareerPlug publishes no price on its own website. There is no pricing page, and no dollar figure appears on the homepage — read August 29, 2026. What CareerPlug does publish, in its help centre, is its terms: three plan tiers, a twelve-month commitment, the full year payable upfront on annual billing, a thirty-day cancellation window, and one fourteen-day trial per account for the lifetime of that account. For a buyer, the terms are the more consequential half — and they are the half almost nobody quotes.
A note on who's writing this
Boostpoint sells recruitment advertising software, so we are not a neutral party writing about an applicant tracking system. We are also not CareerPlug's competitor in the way a rival ATS is: an ATS processes applicants, and we generate them. Those are different jobs, and a lot of hiring teams buy both.
This page is not a takedown, and nothing below is our opinion of their product. It is a record of what a buyer can and cannot verify before a sales call, quoted from CareerPlug's own material and from the third-party sites that rank for their pricing. Where we could not verify something, we say so rather than filling the gap.
What CareerPlug does publish
CareerPlug's help centre carries a subscriptions and pricing article. It names three tiers — Limited ("explore limited functionality – not for active hiring, onboarding, or retaining employees"), Hire ("attract and hire the right people—fast") and Grow ("onboard new hires, retain employees, and help them thrive") — and then, instead of prices, it sets out the commitment.
| Term | What CareerPlug publishes | What it means when you sign |
|---|---|---|
| Annual billing | "12-month commitment, beginning on the date you create your account. Payment for all 12 months is required upfront." | The whole year is a single payment at the start, not a monthly draw |
| Cancellation | "You can cancel within the first 30 days." | One thirty-day window, dated from account creation, then the year is committed |
| Monthly billing | "Only available with CareerPlug Grow subscriptions" and still carries "a 12-month commitment" | Monthly is a payment schedule, not a shorter commitment |
| Leaving a monthly plan | "You cannot cancel…until one month before the end of your annual term." | The exit is a dated window near the end, not a notice period you can start any time |
| Trial | A "14-day trial of CareerPlug Grow"; "only one trial period is granted for the lifetime of an account" | Two weeks, once ever — worth spending deliberately rather than exploring casually |
| Users | "There is no additional cost per user" | Seats are not the meter; access levels are set per teammate |
| Price | Not published | Your quote is the first number you will see |
None of this is unusual for hiring software, and none of it is hidden — it is on their own site, in public, which is more than several competitors manage. It is simply not what buyers search for when they type "careerplug pricing," so it rarely reaches them.

What you would actually be committing to
Enter a start date and this reads CareerPlug's published terms as dates. It shows no prices, because there are none to show.
The only published CareerPlug prices we could find anywhere
Searching for a number rather than a page turns up exactly one source that publishes figures with CareerPlug's name attached, and it is an association. The Professional Insurance Agents of Colorado publishes member rates: a free basic account included with membership, a Pro subscription at $595 a year for unlimited job postings to job boards and the use of personality assessments, and a Premium subscription at $795 a year adding automated interview scheduling.
Two things matter about those numbers. They are real and they are published — and they are member rates negotiated through a partnership, not CareerPlug's list price. Quoting them as what CareerPlug costs would be wrong, and we are not doing that. They are useful only as evidence that a published rate exists somewhere in the world, and as a reminder to ask whether any association or franchise group you already belong to has one.
Why the review sites disagree with each other
Search results for CareerPlug pricing are dominated by software directories rather than by CareerPlug. They are worth reading with one specific check in mind: do the plan names in the article match the plan names CareerPlug publishes? Because CareerPlug does publish those, and they are Limited, Hire and Grow. An article quoting different tier names is not describing the product as it is currently sold, whatever its prices say.
G2's pricing page states plainly that "information about CareerPlug pricing, plan availability, and costs is not listed on G2 by the vendor," and notes its pricing information "was last updated on March 06, 2017" — nine years before this page. It nonetheless carries a comparative claim that CareerPlug is "43% more expensive than the avg. Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) product," which is a conclusion drawn without the input. ITQlick publishes figures — a "$15 per user/month" starting point, $150 to $500 a month for one to ten users, $1,000+ a month at a hundred users, and a first-year total of $1,800 to $7,000 for ten users — under plan names Essential, Growth and Pro. Its own disclaimer describes the calculation as assumptions. Those tier names are not CareerPlug's.

Five sources, graded on what they actually establish
Every source below was read on August 29, 2026. The grade is about verifiability, not about whether the site is any good.
What to ask on the call, since the number only arrives there
When a vendor's price is quote-only, the call is the whole negotiation and the first figure is the anchor. These questions turn a quote into something you can compare against anything else, and they work for any hiring software sold this way.
- Which tier is this quote for, by name? Limited, Hire and Grow do different jobs; a quote is meaningless without the tier attached.
- Is the twelve months payable upfront, and on what date does the commitment start? Account creation, contract signature and go-live are frequently three different dates.
- When exactly does my thirty-day cancellation window close? Get the calendar date in writing, not the rule.
- Have I used the trial? One fourteen-day trial per account for the lifetime of the account means a casual look last year may already have spent it.
- Does any association, franchise or buying group I belong to have a published rate? One does, publicly. Others may.
- What is not included at this tier that I will want in month three? Ask for the upgrade price now, while you still have leverage.
- What happens to my applicant data if I leave at the end of the term? Export format and timing, agreed before you start putting candidates in.
A quote-only price is not a red flag. A quote-only price with published terms you never read is. The terms are free to check before you ever book the call.
Where an applicant tracking system stops
One thing worth saying plainly, because it decides whether pricing matters at all: an ATS is a processing system, not a source of applicants. It organises the people who apply, schedules them, tracks them and stores them. If enough of the right people are applying, that is exactly the problem you have and a good ATS solves it. If they are not, no tier of any ATS changes that, and a cheaper one will not either.
That is the line where our own product sits, on the generating side rather than the processing side, and we try to be as concrete about our numbers as this page has asked CareerPlug to be about theirs. Our 2026 Social Job Advertising Benchmark publishes a volume-weighted average cost per applicant of $8.02 across managed campaigns, with the spread and the method shown rather than summarised. Our own commercial model is a product subscription plus ad spend, with the specifics covered on a call — and having just spent a page on the value of published terms, we would rather say that than imply we publish more than we do. What we do publish is the performance data, in full, at the link above.
Where this page stops and others start
This page covers what CareerPlug publishes and how to read a quote-only price. For the same treatment of an hourly-hiring platform that also keeps its rate card private, see Workstream pricing and alternatives. For an ATS-category comparison rather than a pricing one, Cadient Talent alternatives covers what an applicant tracking system does and does not do. And for a vendor that does publish full prices, WizeHire alternatives works through a real rate card in detail.
Frequently asked questions
How much does CareerPlug cost?
CareerPlug does not publish a price. As read on August 29, 2026 there is no pricing page on careerplug.com and no dollar figure on the homepage, so a quote from their sales team is the first number a buyer sees. The only published figures we could find anywhere with CareerPlug's name attached are association member rates — $595 a year for a Pro subscription and $795 a year for Premium, through the Professional Insurance Agents of Colorado — and those are negotiated member rates, not a list price.
What are CareerPlug's plans called?
CareerPlug's own help centre names three: Limited, described as limited functionality and not for active hiring; Hire, for attracting and hiring; and Grow, which adds onboarding and retention. This is worth knowing because several software directories quote entirely different tier names, which is a quick signal that an article is not describing the product as currently sold.
Does CareerPlug require a contract?
Yes. CareerPlug publishes a twelve-month commitment beginning on the date you create your account, with payment for all twelve months required upfront on annual billing and a thirty-day window in which you can cancel. Monthly billing is available only on Grow subscriptions and still carries the twelve-month commitment; the published terms say you cannot cancel until one month before the end of the annual term.
Does CareerPlug have a free trial?
It publishes a fourteen-day trial of CareerPlug Grow for new subscribers, and states that only one trial period is granted for the lifetime of an account. That is worth checking before you plan around it, because an account created and abandoned in the past may already have used it.
Does CareerPlug charge per user?
Its help centre states there is no additional cost per user, and that teammates can be given different access levels — admin, full access, limited access, or no recruiting access. So headcount on the system is not the meter, which makes the tier and the term the two things a quote actually turns on.
Why do review sites list different CareerPlug prices?
Because the vendor has not given them any. G2 states directly that CareerPlug's pricing is not listed on G2 by the vendor and that its pricing information was last updated in March 2017, while still publishing a comparative claim about relative cost. ITQlick publishes dollar ranges under its own disclaimer describing them as assumptions, and under tier names CareerPlug does not use. Neither is dishonest about it, but neither is a price you can budget against.
Is CareerPlug worth it?
That depends on which problem you have, and the pricing question cannot answer it. An applicant tracking system organises, schedules and stores the people who apply to you — if your postings already attract enough of the right people, that is real work worth paying for. If not many people are applying, no tier of any ATS changes that, because processing applicants and generating them are different jobs.
What should I ask before signing a quote-only contract?
Get the tier by name, the exact date the commitment starts, and the exact calendar date the cancellation window closes. Ask whether the trial has already been used on your account, whether any association or franchise group you belong to has a published rate, what the upgrade price is for the feature you will want in month three, and how your applicant data comes back to you at the end of the term. All of those are answerable on the call, and all of them are harder to ask afterwards.
Processing applicants is one job. Getting them is another.
